Uniting and QBE’s people-first approach to workers compensation claims management

“People are at the heart of everything we do at Uniting. And as a people-centred organisation, it was important for us to have an insurer that aligned with our values. QBE is that people-focused partner,” said Kate Stojanovic, Head of Workplace Health & Safety and Injury Management for Uniting.

Uniting is an Australian-based not-for-profit, with over 550 services across NSW and the ACT1. As providers of aged care, retirement and independent living, early learning, disability, chaplaincy and community services, Uniting has more than 11,000 employees and volunteers who provide care and support for people experiencing disadvantage and vulnerability.2

In 2023, Uniting transitioned their People Risk portfolio to our Managed Fund Claims team, after hearing about our people-first and partnership approach to the management of workers compensation claims.

“As an Australian-based insurer with over 100 years of experience, we share a similar history with our new customer, Uniting,” said Rachel Elmes, General Manager of Managed Fund Claims for QBE Australia.

“We pride ourselves on delivering a person-centred and supportive claims experience, and it’s heartening to see these same values reflected in our customers.”
