Safe Haven Community Australia

Safe Haven Community offers fully supported, community-based temporary accommodation for women at risk of domestic abuse. It maintains a secure online database of private Safe Haven Community homes Australia-wide, providing a nurturing and supportive environment, free from fear and physical, financial, emotional, verbal, sexual or spiritual abuse. QBE Foundation supported Safe Haven Community through our local grant focus round of financial inclusion and resilience. Our support was allocated to the construction of an online financial literacy program to support women escaping situations of coercive control. Safe Haven Community will pilot a series of online webinars to deliver a structured financial literacy program to women experiencing, or escaping, coercively controlling relationships.
