QBE Australia's comment on licencing

QBE Australia welcomes community discussion regarding driver safety and the way in which technology and information can be used to help people improve their driving and maintain their licence, irrespective of age.

The issue of 'S' plates and the use of single driving tests is a matter for state regulators, and QBE is not calling for a restricted licencing regime for older drivers. QBE believes access to telematic data can help all drivers to make decisions based on a better understanding of their own driving behaviour, while also providing proof of good driving and demonstrating they are meeting their licence conditions.
