QBE Foundation announces 2015/16 charity partners

The QBE Foundation is delighted to announce our dedicated charity partners for 2015/16.

Building on the close relationships developed over the past 12 months and the excellent contribution made to the community, we are pleased to be continuing our partnerships with Guide Dogs Australia, and The Kids' Cancer Project.

We're also proud to welcome three new charities, Camp Quality, The Big Issue and Brainwave Australia, as partners for 2015/16.

Each year the QBE Foundation aligns with a select number of charities that enable us to fulfil our objective of helping people in our community overcome disadvantage, strengthen their abilities, and live more independently, successfully and productively.

Our charity partners are provided with a one-off donation between $50,000 and $100,000, and a 12-month commitment of support from the Foundation. They also offer QBE employees volunteering opportunities throughout the year, allowing our people to provide more than just financial support to those in need.

"We are incredibly proud to again be partnering with these charities that are making such a difference to our community," said QBE Foundation Chairman Richard Wulff.

"After supporting Brainwave Australia, Camp Quality and the Big Issue over the last few years through local grants and volunteering, it is wonderful to be able to provide them with more significant support by welcoming them as charity partners for the first time."

"As QBE has offices right around Australia, partnering with charities that have a strong presence nationally is a fantastic opportunity for us to really engage with all regions and ensure we are able to support a wide range of the communities in which we operate."

The QBE Foundation has been proudly partnering with Guide Dogs Australia since 2012 and The Kids' Cancer Project since 2013.

To be considered as a charity partner, organisations must be a registered charity and are required to complete an application form detailing their funding sources and the project for which they are seeking support. Charities that align with the QBE Foundation's philosophy and objectives are invited to submit their applications for partnership between June and September each year.
