QBE launches RFP for heavy vehicle repairers
QBE Insurance Australia (QBE) today announced it would launch a request for proposal (RFP) for the provision of end to end heavy vehicle repair solutions across New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and Tasmania.
The announcement comes as the insurer looks to establish a dedicated heavy vehicle repair network of preferred suppliers as part of a broader strategic review of its motor claims division.
QBE Executive General Manager Claims, Jon Fox, said QBE would look to partner with businesses who share QBE’s commitment to delivering the highest level of service to customers.
“In line with our commitment to providing the best possible customer experience we have made the decision to launch a heavy vehicle repairer network of preferred suppliers.
“This supply chain will help us to ensure our customers receive exceptional customer service, high quality and cost-effective repairs from suppliers we are confident can meet evolving customer expectations.
"We’ll choose the most suitable network of repairers through a comprehensive tender process based on their ability to provide repairs to heavy vehicles, their capacity to support all QBE’s distribution partners and their capability to provide exceptional customer service."
QBE is calling for heavy vehicle repairers to register their interest until 10 August 2018 via an online registration questionnaire.
Shortlisted suppliers will receive the RFP by 13 August and submissions will close 20 August 2018. The new repairer network is expected to be in place by September 2018.
