QBE’s rising stars recognised in Insurance Business Young Guns list
Three of QBE Australia’s (QBE) brightest young professionals have been named in the top 50 insurance ‘Young Guns’ list, compiled by leading industry publication Insurance Business.
The prestigious annual list celebrates emerging talent under 35 years of age from across all sectors of the insurance industry in a bid to celebrate up-and-comers on track to become tomorrow’s leaders.
The QBE young professionals named on the list represent the diverse career paths available within both QBE and the industry, and include;
- Celeste Abbondanza, Assistant Business Relationship Manager
- Meggan Freestone, Senior Underwriter
- Nicole Coleby, Operations Manager, Specialty.
QBE Australia & New Zealand CEO Vivek Bhatia said the insurer was proud to have young female professionals represent QBE on the annual list and congratulated the three on the significant achievement.
“I’m incredibly proud to see some of QBE’s outstanding young professionals recognised by one of the industry’s leading publications,” Mr. Bhatia said.
“This is a fantastic achievement for Celeste, Meggan and Nicole and is testament to their respective technical expertise and meaningful contribution to QBE, our partners, our customers and the broader industry.
“QBE is committed to developing emerging talent, which is reflected in our employee development approach, our recruitment strategy, our innovative graduate program and our broker development program – Equip.
“We’re also working hard to identify and develop female talent in an effort to achieve greater gender diversity at all levels, including our leadership teams.
“Strong, young, female representation on the Young Guns list is testament to our work and commitment in these areas,” he said.
The Young Guns 2018 list is published in the August edition of Insurance Business.
