Return to work assistance
When appropriate and offered to customers, our injury rehab benefit may cover:
- Professional assistance to improve the person’s physical and emotional wellbeing
- Work task analysis to determine the need for special equipment or modifications
- Vocational assistance
- Personal and family counselling
We use early stakeholder intervention that:
- Refers appropriate customers to a rehabilitation provider
- Helps facilitate their return to work by suggesting more suitable hours or alternative duties based on the person’s capacity.
Tailored reporting
- We consult with the customer around specific reporting requirements from day one
- Reporting can include injury or sickness specifics, Workers Compensation financials, benefits paid and outstanding, and relevant benchmarking against similar programs
Lodging a claim
To ensure your customer’s claim proceeds as smoothly as possible, be sure to have the right information included in the claim lodgement. We have put together the following information as a guide and should assist in expediting the claim, QBE may request further information upon lodgement of the claim.
If you’ve suffered an accident or illness under a QBE Group Personal Accident policy issued through your employer, you can complete your claim online.
Loss of income, capital benefits and death claims
- Completed and signed claim form
- Medical reports, clinical records
- Wages information – payslips, profit and loss statement and if self-employed, tax return statement
- Earnings information (if medically fit to work partially)
Corporate travel claims
- Completed and signed claim form
- Original travel itinerary
- Proof of loss documents depending on the claimed event (medical reports and invoices if claiming overseas medical expenses, police report if claiming stolen or lost items). Contact our claims team for more information.

Expat/Inpat claims
- Completed and signed claim form
- Invoices/receipts for medical expenses claimed
- Medical report (if requested) from treating doctor
Non-Medicare medical expenses (NMME) claims
- Completed and signed claim form
- Invoices/receipts for medical expenses claimed
- Medicare benefits statements (for applicable claimant)
- Medical report from treating doctor
