Lodging a claim
To ensure your customers claim proceeds as smoothly as possible, be sure to have the right information included in the claim lodgement. We’ve put together the following information as a guide and should assist in expediting the claim. QBE may request further information upon lodgement of the claim.
In the event of an incident, please notify our claims team immediately with the details available at the time, including:
- Name and contact details of insured
- Date of loss
- Location of incident
- Aircraft registration
- Brief description of incident and damage
Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) mandatory reporting
Accidents and incidents associated with the operation of aircraft which result in aircraft damage or injury to persons must be reported to the ATSB. Reporting requirements are specified in the Transport Safety Investigation Regulations and are explained on the ATSB website. Reports can be made using the Occurrence Notification - Aviation online form or by telephone by 1800 011 034.
