Outstanding support at claim time
We know that liability claims can be complex and long-lasting. When a business is covered by QBE, it’s backed by a strong organisation and locally-based claims team who will focus on achieving the best outcome for them, with regular updates to minimise uncertainty.
Information we need from you and your customers
To ensure your claim runs as smoothly as possible, be sure to have the right information in the claim lodgement. We have put together the following information as a guide, which should assist in expediting the claim. QBE may request further information upon lodgement of the claim.
Property damage
Property claims within liability policies refer to the physical loss, destruction or damage to tangible property caused by the insured business. For example, the insured business installs solar panels and they step through the plaster ceiling by accident or forget to replace a roof tile. Alternatively, it could be where a customer’s property has been damaged at the insured’s place of business –for example, a mechanic has a car for repair and drops an item on it, causing damage.
